    Description

    Antique Biscuit / Cookie Jar With Lid, Unmarked, Porcelain /China, 1860 - 1900. I am not an antiques dealer, but I would consider it to be in good, well-used condition. Some of the gilding is worn, but the colors are still vibrant. There is a small chip on the underside of the lid (photo 9). There is a small defect on the rim - I initially thought it might be a chip, but it is smooth to the touch (photo 8). The leaves on the lid are perfect! There are 2 tiny black "spots" that are similar to pin holes and appear to be manufacturing defects (photo 10) - one is on the lid and one is on the pink flower.  Based on my mother's letter and her birthdate, I believe it was made between 1860 - 1900.
