Here is an extremely rare very early vintage original magic lantern slide from Charlie Chaplin's 1914 comedy Tillie's Punctured Romance, costarring Marie Dressler and Mabel Norman. Directed by Mack Sennett, Tillie's Puncture Romance was the first full-length comedy ever made. Made in 1914, Charlie Chaplin's first year as a movie actor and the year the Little Tramp was born.
Magic lantern slides were used to preview forthcoming films shown in theaters. From an estate collection of slides all dating from the 1910s. Dimensions: 3 1/4" by 4". Extremely rare.
