    Description

Historic American Merchant Marine Survey Volume #1 in new condition in plastic in box opened for description. At 329 pgs with about 250 vessel blueprints, or plans consisting of shear, body and half breath, buttocks and futtocks. This giant folio historic record consists of much more than detailed lines and can be used for full size construction if you happen to be looking for a small clipper ship. Details of construction include frames, carlins, deck plans all of which could be used for scale modeling too. Many of the plans include location and photos of where the vessels were found and even the history of who and how the construction was done. Most examples in this 18x24" size book are foldouts to twice this size and some aren't. They can be separated and framed some of which I have seen sold previously on ebay. This is work Howard  I Chappell would certainly approve. My favorite is the Thomas Mcmanus designed Gloucester Fisherman at the end of the pics. Flat USPS shipping is to any mainland US address.
