    Description

NWOT Colonial Outlander Pale Sage Green and Pink Paisley cotton Dress-Gown M/L. Costume, 18th Century Repro. Shipped with USPS.
Made by me here in suburban Chicago of all new materials From Simplicity 3723 in a pattern size 16. A one piece, center back concealed zip featuring a fully lined bodice and 3/4 sleeves ending in a lined ruffle.
Over 5 yards of colorful Paisley polished Cotton called”Prelude” with 100% poly satin bodice and ruffle lining. Machine washable, gentle cycle please-cold water, cool iron. Bear in mind this is a garment with many yards of fabric in a time when laundry consists of jeans and t shirts! Hand washing is better (bathtubs are great for this!) and drip dry. Can certainly dry clean as well.
    Actual measurements,
    Shoulders across: 17.75”
    Bust: 40”
    Waist: 35”
    Sleeve: 15.5” + ruffle
    22” zipper
    Skirt length: 37.5” Width: 81”
Nice historical details- square neckline, elbow darts and double pleating for increased fullness at the top of the very wide skirt. Wear with or without a fichu/ scarf to change the look. Add lace, ribbon, feathers...whatever strikes your fancy.
I’ve showed it over a bum roll on my dress form to give you an idea of fullness- it is not included. If you’re interested check my other items. I’ll be happy to include free shipping for it if you want it with this dress. My dress form is really too small to show this size, but the bust and shoulders fill up nicely on a person.
I’ve made this pattern many times for school and community theatre. Easy to wear, easy to alter and durable. Please contact me with any questions you have before you purchase. Thank you for looking and good luck to you 🙂
