    Description

    RARE ANTIQUE VICTORIAN DRAGONS GARGOYLES WOODEN CHEST ICE BOX TRUNK RARE 1800s. Please see all the photos for the condition and the dimensions. Feel free to ask me for more photos if you would like. This fabulous wood ice chest was made in 1800s. It’s in good condition for its age. It’s not in 100% perfect condition, but it’s old. Any flaw doesn’t effect the beauty of this item. The lid has a gap straight across the middle as shown in the photos. It seems that it was made this way. There are a few chips on the lid. The bottom 4 feet are beautifully hand carved dragon feet. They have a few chips. One foot is a little loose. Each side of the front of the box has awesome, hand carved, a 3D gargoyle as shown in the photos. One gargoyle has a chip on his wing. The center of the front side is decorated with 2 carved dragons facing each other. The lid has the same scene but it’s bigger. The back doesn’t have any decorations. There is a metal removable insert inside of the wood box. It has some discoloration as shown in the photos. The length including the feet is 27”. The length of the top is 26”. The width including the feet 18”. The width of the top is 17”. The height is 21”. This piece is so Beautiful. It will be wrapped very carefully. Local pickup is available too.
