Our over-the-knee pure silk Stockings measure 25" long from heel base to top, and have a slight elastic ribbed upper cuff to hold them up under your breeches or petticoat without use of gaiters/garters. The heel to toe is 7" and slight stretchy to fit closely without bunching.   There is a fitted toe and formed heel to prevent bunching and discomfort in walking boots or dancing shoes; these are quality all-American made product on antique machinery, and not just a cheap pair of tube socks.  Designed for women, true period correct, and fits all adult regular sizes.  You cannot wear store bought knee socks and get the same effect---you do need these specially woven Colonial Stockings for the perfect appearance.  Color is solid jet dark black.

They are completely hand washable and as they are a natural fiber, not synthetic polyester, no more smelly feet problems....they breathe nicely on your body. With fitted foot and heel, will not bunch up in ye shoes for strolling or dancing!
