I have just moved from my house in NJ where I was a big collector of a variety of objects to outfit my big Victorian. Now that we have moved to Florida, there is just no way to keep so many things.
Description:
This octagon-shaped plate has a maker's mark, but I can't quite make out the impression on the back....looks like an arrowhead
The pretty plate has daisies or echinacea, with grasses and grape leaves
Most is transfer wear but there are areas that are raised with a hand painted accent
I don't know the age, but it feels like something from the 1940's
Marked 1775 g on the bottom
Measures 8-3/4” square
Condition:
No chips or cracks
Gilding has minimal wear
There is a mark in the pottery that looks like an original flaw (please see close-up photo)
