    Description

Here's a very rare original 1924 magic lantern "coming attractions" promotional glass slide from the 1924 Pathepictures sci-fi documentary movie short "The Death Ray" starring British quack inventor Harry Grindell Matthews.
This glass slide comes in its original cardboard slide holder and
    measures approximately 4 inches x 3 and 1/4 inches.
The glass slide shows the deadly death ray along with Harry Grindell Matthews and others.
This slide was manufactured by the Excelsior Illustrating Company on 6th Avenue in New York City.
The movie theater show days were handwritten in the slide's lower blank area.
BIDDERS IMPORTANT --- PLEASE READ CAREFULLY --- THE CONDITION IS AS FOLLOWS:
The glass slide has a noticeable thin vertical "crack" line from top to bottom on the right side.  (SEE OUR SCANS).
The glass is very fragile and the slide is still intact.
The slide's picture graphics are clean.
The cardboard holder has staining and dark age toning here & there on both sides.
This piece of early movie memorabilia is scarce in any condition.
BIDDERS IMPORTANT --- PLEASE NOTE:   If you see a white glare or a fuzzy picture in the scans shown, they were caused by our digital camera.   The actual glass slide is clean and clear.
